Welded Gabion Box

Description:

Welded gabion box is made from rigid, lightweight, galvanized steel mesh that allows for machine filling, holds the alignment of the face. Welded ecological gabion mesh offer the same flexibility as twisted mesh gabion with greater strength. It's produced from metallic coated welded wire fabric, and metallic coated wire for spiral binder, lacing wire, and stiffener used to assemble the product. The metallic coated fabric may be PVC coated after fabrication.
Welded gabion may be supplied in roll stock form, assembled, or partially assembled. Welded gabion baskets meet dimensional specifications and proper shape without stretching or straightening. They are self supporting for easy assembly, placement and filling. Welded gabions are assembled and joined with quick-connecting, pre-formed spiral binders.

Application
Welded gabions are faster to erect and do not need tensioning. This allows them to keep their shape, to be free from bulges and depressions and fit easily against the wall. It is possible to cut holes in them if needed to pass pipes etc through and they can be machine filled. Welded gabions are used in many situations including the stabilization of earth movement and erosion, river control, reservoirs, canal refurbishment, landscaping and retaining walls.
